NANO

Did you know that fractions can be taught in a fun, memorable way using music? How thrilling would it be to learn halves and wholes by hearing them and playing them, not just seeing them?

The more of our five senses  get involved in learning, the more we retain what we learn. Yet music, which innately involves three senses (hearing, sight and touch), is rarely thought of as a medium for teaching and learning…until now!

NANO, which stands for Notes and Numbers Odyssey, is a special type of music appreciation class for young students ages 5 – 9. Throughout the semester-long course, students in NANO will reinforce their math skills while learning to read music and play different instruments in a group setting.

Registration for the Spring 2019 NANO course will open in December!
